Here are a few designs I have made for school in the last year. I am still working on designing more for myself :).

Viktor & Rolf
This project is an iteration of the Viktor and Rolf garments in the 2020 change autumn/winter collection. All pieces in this collection have a clear silhouette and are often misunderstood. In these images, you can see a wrapped perfume bottle in an iron barrel. By means of a color lamp, it was possible to easily and quickly adjust the atmosphere.
Before the final photo, I did some experiments with creating silhouettes in different ways. Wrapping objects in a fake latex fabric turned out to be the best option.
The atmosphere in these images is sensual and mysterious, just like the garments of Viktor and Rolf. It is not immediately clear what the object in these pictures is.

Woon in Balans
This mural was commissioned for the company Woon in Balans (Living in Balance). Woon in Balans is a residential group for people with autism from 18 to 30 years old.
Before I started this assignment, I first had to understand the beliefs and standards of the company a little bit more. By interviewing employees, I was able to get a good vision of the atmosphere and goals within the company. The interviews showed that domesticity and personal attention are very important for the company. These two core values were the biggest inspiration for the mural.

The mural is located in the daycare building of the residential group. The painting is approximately 1.80 by 1.20 meters and is placed directly above the desk, to attract even more attention.

spacial design
A child's choice
A child’s choice is a poster that portrays a story about what it is like to have divorced parents. Many children feel lonely and unheard of when their parents get divorced. This loneliness is the main feeling I wanted the poster to show.
The inspiration for this project was my home situation. My parents have been divorced since I was 6, but I can still remember very well that it was an emotional period. Luckily my parents decided to do ‘co-parenting’, but some kids have to choose one parent to live with. The fear that comes with having to choose one parent is also shown by the bear holding his paws in front of his eyes.
The poster had to fit within the theme ‘interaction’. I chose to depict the interaction between the two parents and the child.

MEMO
Objective: To make the public understand that I don’t open up to strangers easily, but if you are open to getting closer to me, I will open myself up too.
This memo is built out of three different layers:
- The big message which is saying “Have fun at school, love dad and Floortje”.
- The pinks sentences which are a short explenation of what the memo means for me.
- A super tiny message saying that i keep all of the written memo’s incase one day the last memo ever is given to me.
I often make decisions and choices based on how I feel about something. I often come across as candid, but I’m careful with telling people about my life. When I’m in a familiar environment it’s easier for me to let loose. I think it is important to make people realize that there are multiple layers in every type
of communication.
